Sunday, September 24, 2006

From Linux and Open Source Blog, posted by E@zyVG:

A new Compiz-Manager and Compiz Theme Manager have been posted. Just add a new install source in Yast and paste the following URL:

Protocol - HTTP
Server Name - software.opensuse.org
Directory - download/Compiz-Quinn/SUSE_Linux_10.1/

or new channel as RPM MetaData in SMART package manager:

http://software.opensuse.org/download/Compiz-Quinn/SUSE_Linux_10.1/

After you have added the repository you will see that the Compiz packages have been added.

Install the following packages:

compiz
compiz-manager
cgwd*

You can now launch the new manager by opening a terminal and typing:

~> compiz-manager

Awesome! Thanks E@zyVG!
