Is Linux a good choice for your old PC? In this article examines the main issues connected with using GNU/Linux on some very old hardware. Also covered is choosing a distro, a desktop and the key applications for such a configuration. Turns out you can run Linux on a computer with a 386 processor and only 8MB of RAM! You can even get modern Linux distros to run on a PII with a 10MB hard drive! I'd like to see Windoze XP running on that!
