The Universe on a String

String Theory is perhaps one of my favorite theories of physics of all time. Last year I read a book by Brian Greene, one of the major string theory physicists, which talked much about String Theory. Never have I seen a more "elegant" theory. I say elegant, because that is what it really is. But, String Theory has been under much critisism lately. Brian Greene, however, still defends the theory.
