A first look at GNOME 2.16

GNOME 2.16 is soon to be released, and ArsTechnica takes a first look at the update. Notable improvements/ new features include:
- A vastly improved default icon theme (based on Tango and the Tango pallette)
- Update of the cairo-enabled Clearlooks theme designed to be less distracting
- Overall updated GTK theme(s)
- Support for wobbling windows and menus, fading effects, and shrinking effects through new built-in compositing feature
- Evolution interface improvements
- And quite a bit more!
