NASA Discovers Dark Matter!

Monday, August 14, 2006

No detailed information yet, but, "Astronomers who used NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory will host a media teleconference at 1 p.m. EDT Monday, Aug. 21, to announce how dark and normal matter have been forced apart in an extraordinarily energetic collision." Audio of the vent is to be streamed live on the Web @ http://www.nasa.gov/newsaudio. For TV streaming video information visit: http://www.nasa.gov/ntv. Read the full pre-announcement here.

*Note from the nerd: I can't wait to hear more about this! I have been reading about dark matter a lot lately (well Physics in general) and this discovery is very exciting! I'll post more info as soon as I can!!!
