AMD: New Opteron Around the Corner

AMD is set to unveil its next-gen dual-core Opteron server processor within the next few days. The chip will, named "Rev F" will incorporate several updates, which include support for faster DDR2 memory and built-in virtualization technology ("Pacifica"). The chip will use a new socket and will come with a new four-digit model numbering scheme.
